Mindfulness is a very powerful strategy and involves purposefully paying attention to what is occurring in a present moment and becoming aware of thoughts, behaviors and habits.

What we think, how we behave, what we do influences our Autonomic Nervous System which communicates to our hormones, cells, tissues. Mindfulness gives us the ability to actively engage our Parasympathetic Nervous System, our rest and digest state. This is vitally important for digestion, hormone response, immune function, cognitive and emotional well being.
